Hi I’m Jayme! Born and raised in New Hampshire, USA. I studied Sociology at university and have always been intrigued by cultures and societies outside of my own. I was drawn to Peru in 2016 and what was meant to be a 3 month trip turned into a 7 year journey. Exploring the corners of Peru, I found a home in a Northern coastal fishing town called Huanchaco. I spent my days volunteering and surfing. That’s where I met Katie, Co-founder of Hands on Peru, and I became familiar with the CESAPU clinic and the wonderful people that make it all possible. I now reside in the capital, Lima. Here I teach English and continue surfing the waves. Often you can find me traveling back up the coast, surfing along the way and revisiting my first ever home in Peru, Huanchaco.
